    Terms and refund policy

    Refunds and reprints

Our promise. Every book is made for one child, so we can't take returns or refund a change of mind. But if something we did isn't right, we'll make it right.

Changing your order. Spotted a typo in a name? Email us as soon as you can at hello@myhanukkahbook.com. If your book hasn't gone to the printer yet, we'll fix the name or spelling for you. We can't switch stories or reading levels after payment, and once a book is printing we can't change it.

Cancelling. You can cancel for a refund until your book goes to the printer, usually about an hour after it's finished. After that, the book is being made for your child and can't be cancelled.

Digital books. Digital books arrive right away, so they aren't refundable. If a file won't open or doesn't match what you entered, we'll fix it.

If something is wrong with your printed book. If your book arrives damaged, has a printing fault, or doesn't match what you entered, email us a photo within 14 days of delivery. We'll look at it and make it right, usually with a free reprint. You don't need to send the book back.

Lost books. If the carrier confirms your book is lost, we'll send a new one.

Rush shipping. If a Rush book is late because of us, we'll refund the Rush charge. We can't refund for carrier delays after the book ships.

What isn't covered. Changing your mind, details entered incorrectly that weren't caught before printing, and small differences in color or likeness from one book to another. Email us anyway; we'll always see what we can do.

Our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the order.

    Terms of sale and use

Who we are. My Diwali Book is made by Marigold Books, a small business run by Pratik Desai in Needham, Massachusetts. Contact: hello@myhanukkahbook.com.

Ordering. You must be 18 or older to place an order. Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax is added at checkout where required. Hardcovers ship to US addresses only and are printed and shipped by our printing partners, Lulu and RPI Print.

Your book is personalized. You're responsible for the details you enter, such as names and spellings. We use them only to make and deliver your book. We never ask for or store photos of your child.

About the pictures. Illustrations are created with AI from the look you choose, then checked page by page. They're a friendly illustrated likeness, not a portrait, and the art style can vary slightly between books.

What you can do with your book. The book is yours to keep, read, gift and share photos of. The story, artwork and design remain ours, so please don't resell or republish them.

Promo codes. One code per order, no cash value, and each code works once. Codes can't be applied after an order is placed.

Our responsibility. We do our best to make every book right and deliver it on time. If something goes wrong, our refund and reprint policy above is how we make it right, and our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the order.

Changes. We may update these terms; the version on the site when you order is the one that applies.

Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts.
